Member of the month – Gina Garcia

Gina has been with Wädi since day 1 and we are delighted to have such a positive, always cheerful person in our community!
You almost always meet her in the evening classes – usually 2-3 minutes before the start, haha.
Fun fact: Gina is the biggest Shakira fan you’ll ever meet.
And whether it’s squats, cleans or burpees – her hips really don’t lie!

  1. Why CrossFit Wädenswil?

The good atmosphere (perfect mix between “focus” and “fun”) + the order in the box.

 

  1. What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?

Traveling (next stop: USA), meeting friends, going out… simply enjoying life.

 

  1. What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit Wädenswil?

Attend classes regularly.
It doesn’t get any less exhausting, but you get used to it eventually HAHA.

 

  1. What is your favorite music to listen to during training?

Latino (Wik-Sound) or Techno.

 

  1. Which book or movie has inspired you recently?

The alchemist.

 

  1. What does a perfect day look like for you?

Hmmm… it’s summer, I have iced coffee and Nutella croissants for breakfast, I spend the day at the lake/sea with my friends or family.
Later in the afternoon there might be a day party… lots of dancing, laughing and talking.
(At some point in between, of course, 1 hour of Crossfit ;D)

 

  1. Describe how you see CrossFit Wädenswil.

A place where you can forget about everyday life and do something just for yourself for at least an hour without a cell phone or other distractions.

 

  1. Is there a motto in life or a saying that motivates you?

Being content means being happy.

  1. How long have you been training with us?

Practically since the opening.
I moved from Freienbach to Wädi right at the beginning.
It’s unbelievable that after all this time I still can’t manage a strict HSPU haha ;).

 

  1. Tell us something about yourself that we don’t know yet…

Gina / 27 / Secondary school teacher (yup, for real) / 100 Sit Ups > 20 Devil Press /
